I booked a Sunset Beach Villa with Pool at Villa Nautica, Maldives through MakeMyTrip for a 3-night stay from 20th to 23rd June 2025, paying over ₹;2, 00, 000 for two rooms. Upon arrival, we were not given the room we paid forthere was no sunset view, no direct beach access, and the room was completely misrepresented.
Despite informing MakeMyTrip immediately via phone and email with photos, no resolution was offered that day. I had to stay in the wrong room the first night and only got the correct room the next day. For the third night, I paid$100 extra on-site to upgrade to an ocean villa myself, hoping for a better experience.
What followed was a nightmare of follow-ups. Every time I contacted MakeMyTrip, a new agent came on call, and I had to explain everything from scratch. They kept sending emails about a cancellation request that I never made. Finally, they offered me a ₹;5, 000 voucher with restrictions, which frankly feels like an insult, not a solution.
This experience shows zero accountability from MakeMyTrip. As a customer, I trusted them to be my voice and protect my interests with the property, but they completely failed. I expected at least a refund for the one night I was given the wrong room, if not more.
Very disappointed. I urge other travelers to be cautious when booking high-end properties through MMT. They wash their hands off the moment things go wrong.
