I don't owe this SUV but I Travelled my last vacation to Manglore to Pune to Mahabaleshwara, and lonwala and Lavasa.
My opinion as follows described below.
Mahendra Scorpio
The scorpio ruled the Automobile segment by its look.
Following items are redesigned Foglamp, All in all front grill, Range rover look, 2 meter Tall and 1.8 mtr in width, it's taller than Tata safari stroam, and Toyota fortuner, which gives you good space inside.
Intirior not much change except leather seat covers, Engine Mhauk 2.2ltr desiel 4 cylinder Engine, 120bhp @4000rpm, 140 bhp@3750rpm, Torque 280Nm@ 1800-2800rpm, 320Nm@ 1500-2800rpm, After the Facelife and Upgradation of Deisel Engine Now it's really feel the Smoothness and Power of steering, while driving. 100kms speed at no time.
While turning I feel the Body role but not the same as Old models. Quite improved situation.
Scorpio got 6 gears. I got 14kms per liter. Considering the Pune mahabelshwar Mountain and Lavasa and Lonwala.
Breaks are excellent REDESIGNED Front breaks CAILPER TYPE, ventilated disc and Rear Breaks Drum Type rigid but it's OK far far better than old models. Automatic head lamps and Automatic wipers. Micro hybrid system engine stops automatically long holding breaks in Traffic and start when you lift the break.
Positioning of 6"Touch screen with GPS. Set below your comfortable eye site difficult when you follow the GPS through map.
You can feel little bit intimidated from back seats. What's wrong with Scorpio you cannot adjust the seats while driving. Almost difficult.
Even in New roads in highway I feel noticeable amount of noise. No traction control, No ESP No EBD. Thia model cost 9.74 to 15.56 lakhs ex showroom. 4x4 segments little over 16 lakh rupees. Then you might be look for other options like Duster, Creta, Entry level Jeep, Entry level Innova. 4000 units get saled per month consistently.
My best advice to those who lives in Heavy traffic small cities with narrow roads. Please don't buy this Elephant. But those who frequently traveling long trips through western ghats or mountain roads like Mahabaleshwara or lonwala. You are welcome go for it.
