Ever look up at the moon and wonder what it would be like to walk on it, every time right! Well, ''Only 12 Have Walked On The moon. You're Next''. This amazing 40 min. IMAX film takes you on a journey to the moon like never seen before. It recreates the experience of the celebrated and the unsung heroes of the Apollo missions, with the use of CGI, live action and original footage from NASA.
It is a close approximation of the wonder of walking, exploring and riding the Lunar Rover on the moon. When the dust is kicked, you feel like ducking, and the astronauts feel like they are right in front of you, flesh and blood, not film because the 3D effects are so spectacular.
The only drawback to this film is that there are only moments of such wonder, you are consistently reminded that it is not real by interruptions of real footage, which is humbling and inspiring in its own right. There are even moments that move you.
It gives us a brief history of mans fascination of the moon, to the apollo missions and finally ending with a possible civilization on the moon. It also gives us a hypothetical scenario which has never occurred on any of the missions to date. What if something went wrong while on the moon and the emergency plan had to be executed.
''Magnificent Desolation'' the words uttered by Buzz Aldren, describing the magnificent journey and the desolate landscape. It is the closest we will come to know what it must have felt like, this makes this film a must see for everyone
