Pack contains Penne pasta and a sauce maker. Pasta is made of 100% semolina. Though semolina pasta is not quite as healthy for you as whole wheat pasta but if you can’t be bothered about whole wheat pasta for its unrefined taste then good news is semolina too is not an unhealthy option if used occasionally.
Semolina is the endosperm or heart of the durum wheat kernel- a hard wheat variety with a high protein to carbohydrate ratio and high gluten content. It is a good source of Protein, fiber and the most important thing is it has no added MSG. The pack mentions hydrolyzed peanut protein as ingredient which is good source of vegetable protein.
Our Analysis One pack of magi pazzta weighs 65 g and makes one serving of pasta. According to Nutrition Information provided on pack, one serving contains approx 233 calorie, not bad for one mini meal or heavy snack occasionally. Best part was 7.5 g of protein and 2.2 g fat per serving good amount of protein and low in fat too. Though people who have peanut allergy, may avoid the product as it contains peanut hydrolyzed proteins which can trigger the allergy episode.
Our Verdict If you are Maggi lover and looking to add verity and fun in your meals go on and enjoy an occasional treat. We are not saying that this is a healthy meal and you should go and start eating it as a healthy meal, but an occasional indulgence which is not unhealthy either can always be a part of healthy meal plan.
