I wasn't for a few days that I was finally able to try it for myself. I must admit I was very impressed, it easily hoovered the lino in the kitchen and the laminate in the sitting room, the real challenge was the long haired woollen rug in the sitting room, which I normally ended up brushing by hand to get clean.I had given the children crumpets and let them run wild in the sitting room, crumpets are one of the hardest things to get out of the rug as they stick to the long woollen bits.
I used the hand attachment to make sure that I got everything, even the unseen bits that were in amongst the woollen fibres, and in no time at all I had done the whole rug with no need for brushing!The children also love this vacuum as it has a friendly, smiley face.
Having owned two Bush vacuum cleaner then a Dyson bag less vacuum cleaner, both of which lasted just over a year and never seemed to pick up everything took the children out while he hoovered the already spotless floors, some test eh?.This can be a bit of a problem as sometimes when you’re trying to pull it behind you they fall off it or stop it moving because they’ve climbed onto it or are sat in front of it pulling the cable out. It comes with a lot of different attachments and a second hose which you can use to extend the hose, this is great for hoovering the stairs and landing as you don’t have to struggle with balancing the vacuum on the stairs.
It’s not a bag less vacuum but the bags are easy to source and can be bought quite cheaply, buys them from Wilkinsons. The main unit isn’t too heavy so it’s easy to get up and downstairs. The cord is wound up inside the unit so you only have as much pulled out as you need, unless your children are like mine, and it has a handle to wind it back in when you’ve finished. It comes with a variety of attachments these, along with the extra hose, make it easy to clean the car out to a professional standard.
We’ve now owned this vacuum for over two years with it being used at least twice a day, sometimes four or five times at the weekend or, if my husband is off work, the weekdays. We have never had a problem with this vacuum and I’m very impressed with it, no other vacuum we’ve owned has stood up to my husband’s use! Cost per use: 9p so far and counting down.
