Hi,
I had a bad experience with Lenskart. I went to their shop at Chinar Park. Rajarhat(near Kolkata Airport) and selected a pair of glasses(my first frame). This was in January 2015. It cost me Rs. 2599. After a week or so I collected them from their shop as they could not deliver at my home. I did not mind that.
I used it from Feb 2015 to June 2015 intermittently since I have requirement only for reading and that too+1 power; my far sight is normal. So actual use was much lesser. However, by June 2015 the left side of the frame had come apart from the spring that holds it. I had no accident with the spectacle, there was no impact and it seemed just simple wear and tear issue. When I showed to the shop they told that it is "my fault" and they would charge Rs.572 to replace the frame, which they did in a week. However, the replaced frame looks similar but is not the same. It is less stylish and looks cheaper.
Now questions are
a) with a one year warranty why should I pay the extra amount?
b) What kind of cheap material are they using that the frames are wearing off even with light users
c) Why cant they replace my exact frame?
Regards,
Raja Dawn
