The following review is for an internet based account only. I have not used any of the pms solutions and will not do so either. My account opening went ok, not many issues, but then i had my fair share. System is mostly available, but on most evenings and early mornings(my usual time, i never login
During trade time) i am not able to login as the system is being backed up(?) 2 to 3 times a week(?)
It can be safely assumed that all statements(which have not been written) made during account opening are never adhered to, and there is no intention at all to keep such commitments...
Customer service through phone does not work for me as i work in late evenings/early mornings,
It is pretty strange that they work 9 to 6, 5 days a week, i guess .....
I have not interacted a lot on phone base support to comment ...
Customer service through their website is almost non-existent...if you are lucky, you get a reply after around a month, and you are extremely lucky, if customer service has understood what you asked.....
So let us not talk about resolution, it practically did not work out for me ....
Money transfer (supposed to work from many banks) never works on time for me ....
It takes an undeterminable amount of time to transfer money from my bank account(kotak again) to my securities account... Typically at least 3++ working days (it is supposed to happen instantly) sometimes it has taken more 5 working days, a full week. A post office money order is faster ....
Money from kotak sec to the bank takes usually more than a week though it is supposed to happen instantaneously. I am not talking about proceeds after sales from equity, just plain cash transfer...
Most accounting seems to be done manually, so dont be surprised if money simply vanished away. Rs 30000/- simply vanished from my account and never returned until i complained which means you have to record your every transaction externally, if you want to keep track that is because kotak sec accounting method of tracking equities is too complex and un-intuitive .....
Kotak bank seems better and more responsive, but then my dealings with the bank are too limited to comment. Online trading platform is outdated at customers end ...still uses (forces) all online customers to
Use 1. Microsoft internet explorer 2. Microsoft java.....
Java from ms is obsoleted 4 years ago, but kotak thinks better? Mozilla is far more secure than ie but not supported. Keat worked only once, after great difficulty not worth again. I would never recommend kotak sec to anybody ....
I would like to see a zero or negative ranking for customer service and promptness but mouthshut.com forces me to enter a minimum of 1, hence this ranking
