Vijay Mallya lives life to the fullest, the poster boy of consumption and consumerism, surrounding himself with everyone’s idea of the rich life, fast cars, beautiful women, designer houses, horses, jewellery and art. Vijay Mallya is a swashbuckling figure who loves to speed up with whatever he does and the Kind of Goodtimes came as his passion.
Indian sky painted in Red on May 9th, 2005 when Kingfisher started its operation with lots of firsts to its credit till date. A revolution started by Naresh Goyal was taken to new highs with Mallya's flamboyance. Yes I am impressed.
Unbelivably this is the first Indian Airlines where man prefers to take isle, a kid is happy with the special goodies, madame is pleased to see the saas bahu episode, the teenager is charged up with the music and I am happy just looking at the IFE navigation panel counting the nautical miles left.
As a regular flier with Kingfisher, I always experienced (barring once) very pleasant journey. Before take off, it offers a small bottle of lemon juice and a very useful "Kingfisher Pack" which contains headsets, some mints, a pen and useful information on the Kingfisher network, you really feel like a guest not a passenger. With a reasonable inflight meal, best IFE(personal TV) in the domestic Indian sector, good ambiance inside the plane and reasonable leg room(with footrest) you are a king there. Possibly you will only miss the King's flavour since Indian rules do not allow alcohol service onboard flights.
With all these good things comes some minor inconveniences as well. A regular flyer will have to watch repeated recorded TV shows in IFE on both legs. My experience with Kingfisher could be 100% satisfactory once I single out my experience with their Bhubaneswar Delhi flight. The single hopping flight stops for 2 hours at hyderabad where you will have to come out of the airport to check in once again.
