This movie is directed by Hrishikesh Mukherjee.This movie was released in 1980.It had a strong cast like Rekha, Rakesh Roshan, Ashok Kumar, Dina Pathak etc.
This movie was a hit .I first saw this movie TV and liked it so much that I wanted it in my Movie collection.
Nirmala Gupta(played by Dina Pathak) runs her household and family in a very strick and authoritarian manner.Most of her family members are not happy with this but still they obey her because they don't want to go against her and be in her good books.
Her family consists her and her husband, 4 sons, 1 daughter in law, 1 grand daughter.
The real story begins when second daughter in law arrives.Her sister(Rekha) tries to change the environment of the house. Nirmala Gupta doesn't like this.But her third son Rakesh Roshan wants to marry her(Rekha).
After an incident Nirmala Gupta realizes that she's being too harsh on her family and specially Rekha.
She later on accepts her as her third daughter in law.
As every Hindi film this movie also has a happy ending.
