Well The first time I went to KFC was way back in'95 in
B'lore. I had to stay a whole extra week in B'lore as that chicken gave me a
mighty upset tummy. & I'm from Delhi & had the fried chicken a-la
Delhi style a gazillion times in places you wouldn't want to spit in.
Last week I went to another KFC, this time in Shipra Mall,
Indirapuram & I got another shocker. They do not have WATER! Even the
TACKIEST of place that serves you 3 day old jalebis will serve you water, or
atleast provide it when asked for. Here you have to BUY a specially packaged
bottle of water(No prizes for guessing that since the honourable courts &
MRTP says they can have spl packing so long as it mentions the price in Rs,
even if it is 5 times costlier than the SAME brand & quality & quantity
served outside, it was indeed highly overpriced.).
& the chicken/preparation quality has improved no
doubts. I wasn't sick this time due to the chicken but sickened by the
mentality.
& yes, the chickens are fed
just the hormones & nothing else. to cover up that taste, they lace it
with MSG. After all Taste ko Waste mat karo Jan-e-man!
KFC needs to understand its ok to do whatever you wish to, provided you treat the customer with some respect & keep the Indian values in mind. We are so bum lazy, even McDonalds delivers in India.
If they do want to make money & not just have a token presence in the Indian market KFC needs to learn real fast.
