Stephen King's Joyland was published in 2013. This is the story of a college student named Devon Jones who goes to spend his summer working at the amusement park. Joyland. He makes friends while he was there. He and his friends learn that a woman has been murdered on one of the rides. Then they start to investigate and this may possibly lead them into trouble.
I don't really want to say more about the plot because it wasn't so much about the plot for me as much as it was about the atmosphere, the whole carnival secret club feelings. One of the characters is spending a summer working a kind of low-paying job but having a lot of fun. There are many things in this book that I don't like. First of all writing in this book is little to easy to read, I mean it's a murder mystery but it didn't feel like it though. It's more like a love story that happened around this murder mystery. This book is not scary like Stephen King's other work.
I would not recommend this book to Murder mystery fan. This book more feels like a romance novel. If you like reading the love stories, this book is for you.
