After Salman khan, Van Damme is my favorite actor, I am fan of him since 1997 when his bulk buster hit'Maximum Risk' watched. The million of youngesters have chose the proper way of their lives due to Jean Claude Van Damme and somewhere Salman Khan is also following him. Both are very eager to work together.
48 years 5'9" Jean Claude Van Damme(JCVD) nick Vann Damme is one of the Hollywood's hardest working and best loved action hero though he is from Belgium and projected himself a softer character not as invincible as Schwarzenegger nor as unrefined as Stallone. His film proofs treasurer for producers, theatre owners and distributors.
Van Damme is self promoter, he entered United States in 1981 his personal life has elements of a soap opera played on a very public stage. Upon arrival, he attempted to make it into the movies, but unfortunately the movie business didn't welcome him with open arms and his first experiences of working in US were as chauffeur, carpet layer, and pizza delivery driver.
It's unjustified if we regard him an actor, though it's more accurate to describe him as a bodybuilder and kick boxer. Van Damme's father was a flower salesman and wanted to develop his son under Goetz's guidance(European Karate) with an impressive array of kicks and strikes. He started martial arts at the age of 11 that time he was physically weak, short and wore glasses. He learned Kick boxing, Taekwon-Do, Muay Thai and Shotokan Karate. Van Damme won the European professional karate associations middleweight championship at 16, where he thrilled one and all with his 360-degree leap kick. At 18 years Van Damme launched the California Gym in Brussels. In 1979 he got 10-0(10 knockouts) record to Orlando, Florida to compete in the WAKO World Full Contact Championships. He retired from active competition with a 18-1(18 knockouts) record.*
It estimated that Van Damme earned an average of below one million US Dollar per picture for a collection of films that starts with'Bloodsport', 'Black Eagle, Cyborg, Kickboxer, Death Warrant, Lionheart and Double Impact, it was not until'Universal Soldier' that he received his first real Hollywood paycheck for 1 million US Dollar from then on, he made no less than 3 million per picture, and peaking at 6.2 million with'Street Fighter'.

*In Hell: The film is bloody and brutal but beautifully filmed in Karavi Prison the worst of the worst prison, after Kyle's(Van Damme) wife Grey was brutally raped and murdered, he went after the man who killed her when a corrupt judge let him off. In jail the guards and warden are corrupt, detainee sleep one eye open. outwardly normal man whose only means of survival is to become one of the cruel and violent inmates he has come to despise.(I recommend to watch this movie)
Maximum Risk: This flick is both fun and intense, the action sequences of martial arts aside are impressive and shocking. Van Damme takes on double duty as twin brother dead, Everybody around town thinks he is someone he is not when it comes to the mafia and FBI agents.(I recommend to watch this movie)
The Order: Rudy's father, Oscar is an archaeologist. His father goes to Israel. When his father disappears, Van Damme goes to Israel to find him. The chief of police claims that his father never entered the country, but an old friend of his father's was expecting him and before he could tell him more, some people start shooting at them. Film was shooted in Israel & Palestine and around the Mosque Al Aqsa, story scripts also turns towards Muslim extremists where Van Damme's poster was published in as an Arabic man under 'wanted' title.(I recommend to watch this movie)
Hard Target This is a fantastic action packed. A homeless man from New Orleans, agrees to help Natasha Binder to find her father. He quickly discovers the former the special forces officer's body. Full of action and thrills, film shooted on beautiful locations in Vietnam(I recommend to watch this movie).
The Quest is about a young man named Christopher Devoir(Van Damme), living homeless in NYC with a group of homeless kids. He gets caught stealing, and leaves the country sneaking onto a ship of the Buccaneers led by Lord Edgar Dobbs(Roger Moore), he is sold secretly to the Thai on an island to be trained as a Muy Thai fighter. The Quest therefore begins to find the golden dragon, awarded to the greatest fighter in a martial arts tournament held at the Lost City.
Van Damme self directed this movie, the best part of this movie is the tournament.
Timecop is science fiction movie, Van Damme plays a time travel Enforcement Police officer and assigned to prevent criminals from traveling to the past from 2004 to 1994 with the intent of altering the future. He travels in past and share a few scenes with Mia Sara who plays Timecop's wife where he tries to stop the incidence of Sara's murder to alter the future, this one is the action star's better movies(I recommend to watch this movie)

*Married Life: He has been married five times and divorced four(damme it… Damme is so lucky or bad luck) he married twice with Gladys Portuguese.

He is known as Muscles from Brussels, and has had nude appearances in movie, he exposes his muscles-body in all of his movies(Sallu bhaiya is just behind of him). Van Damme says(somewhere Sallu bhaiya also excerpts) "If you have a decent body why not show it".
Van Damm had been fined for drunken driving.
