ITZ Cash Cards:

I have been using ITZ cash cards for over 3 years now.

The major benefits:

1.Easy and Safe to use.

2.Available at many locations esp. in Mumbai/Metro Cities

3. IRCTC ticket booking is cool with ITZ. Even cancellation or erroneous transactions get a refund in 48 hours

4.Multiple Denominations

The Major Cons / Drawbacks:

1.They have stopped balance transfer between cards. So if you have just 50-60 or 100 rs left in a card and do not have any such bills or utility to pay for, this money goes free charity to ITZ CASH. Which is very unethical.

2.Dealers charge a Home Delivery charge of Rs. 20/- This is not charged by other cash cards

3.Dealers always deny that they have a ITZ cash card of INR 500 or 1000 in stock. They keep pushing higher denomination/value to purchase. The expiry date is just 6 months so it has now become very cumbersome to go for this card.

4.Dealers often give old cards, so that once u open them their validity is lesser - as per mfg. date

5.Customer service is pathetic - they never respond to Emails or SMS help

I have now stopped using ITZ cash for the reason that every time some min. balance left in a card of rs.25 to 75 goes waste.

I do not recommend to use this card except in case of round figure payments of 2000 or more.

Comments on ITZ Card Review

I would like to reply as a seller of ITZ Cash Cards on the cons:
1. Balance transfer has been stopped on the directives of RBI and not by the company (ITZ Cash). 2 separate cards can be used to complete 1 transaction, so if a fragment (like Rs. 5...0/100) is left over, use that up first and use a fresh card to make up the balance amount of your bill payment / IRCTC booking.

We all get a bill for all utilities such as electricity, telephone, mobile etc, every month and a 6 month validity should suffice, reduction of validity was once again due to RBI directives.

2.We dealers get very low margins (like Rs. 2/- on a 500 card) so it becomes uneconomical for us to deliver free. Sorry.

3. I always supply 500 / 1000 denomination cards willingly. The expiry date is 6 months from activation date which should be at the most 7 days delivery since activation is done online.

4. Please ignore manufacturing date. I have a boxful of cards which would be expired if we followed the manufacturing date. We activate cards daily online as per orders, so your cards are activated 4-5 days max before you order.

5. No comment on customer service since I have never felt the need to call them up.

If you have to pay your electricity bill of say Rs. 500. and you have only Rs. 50 in a card, enter the account no of the Rs. 50 balance card first. You will be prompted to enter another card to make up for the deficit. Then enter fresh card details. This has become necessary due to RBI directives to all cash card companies under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act.

Hope I was able to help you out on your queries.

I do not hold the above comment VALUABLE AND TOTALLY DEPENDABLE.

1. Its only YOU as a seller who wants to willingly give small denomination card.. not the others

2. ITZ Cash has not replied to my emails I sent 7 of them.... WHATS TH...E USE IF THEY DONT RESPOND>>> THIS SPEAKS THEY ARE CHOR

3. If a card balance is LOW while making payment the payments FAIL..
so your reply is untrue...

If you have to pay your electricity bill of say Rs. 500. and you have only Rs. 50 in a card, enter the account no of the Rs. 50 balance card first. I AM NOT PROMPTED TO ENTER THE CARD NO> FOR FURTHER BALANCE. IT RATHER ASKS TO PUT A CARD WITH FRESH BALANCE FOR FULL PAYMENT

EXPIRY DATE:
6 months from first time usage OR 24 months from date of manufacture WHICHEVER IS EARLIER is written on the card... If a dealer gives a card which is more an a year n half old . then wat to do

And as for free delivery.. how is it that the website says free card delivery for denomination of Rs 2000/- and above..

WHOM ARE U TRYING TO FOOL MR rajesj ???
And yes... YOU ARE AGAIN WRONG.. that dealers get very low margins (like Rs....2/- on a 500 card) -
U THINK IN MUMBAI PEOPLE WILL SELL A CARD FOR rs. 2/- profit ?? then why not keep a mobile recharge outlet..

It seems you are trying to DEFEND ITZ CASH CARD

THEN WILL THE DEALER COME ON A MOTOR CYCLE 5 KMS drive TO DELIVER A CARD FOR 20rs charge.... bakwaas....
