I was waiting for the DVD because I missed out the chance to watch it on big screen. Finally I got the dvd and movie is excellent, its an experience, movie takes you to a wild journey but with feelings motives every emotion attached to it. Most of the people think by the name of the movie that movie is just about wild young generation, only about adventure but Sean penn gives a excellent twist . When you start a movie on a true adventure you may have a goal in mind.  Chris McCandless had an unfortunate encounter with his soul when he set out on the ultimate adventure of living off the land in the Alaskan alpine.

Into the wild is a film to meditate on. It’s not particularly fast moving but it struck me. The search for self under shadow of nature . It touches on instinct, the call of the wild, the search for self.

Sean penn wonderfully adapts the novel and brings it on the screen as  the tragedy of McCandless(Emile Hirsch) and in doing so celebrates the impact that one person can have on the world, even in a short time whenget going is tough. Fresh out of college, McCandless, the product of an upper-middleclass upbringing, abandons his family and money and all luxury and makes his way to Alaska. There he plans to live, survive on instinct and find himself.

Penn gives a tribute to nature. As fierce flick  can be, it’s a beauty and a backdrop for life is simple but impactfull. The film is at its most gorgeous when the camera is  capturing the small moments of a deer looking for food in the snow, seagulls hanging over quiet ocean waves and  sunset even rocks and water.   The powerful soundtrack by   Eddie Vedder(Pearl jam) in true sense is one of the best soundtrack which truly goes with the story as well as with the mood of the scenes.

*   **It is a beautiful film that takes its time. It demands a reaction that remain with you . Penn has   created something which has a impact as well as it is entertaining . It makes to think you not only about what you see but also about your own life. The cast is exellent and ** **Emile Hirsch is just outstanding. Its a must watch.
