Insomnia by Stephen King. In this book, Ralph Robert begins to suffer insomnia after the death of his wife. He has no problems falling asleep but wakes up earlier and earlier every day until he's only getting a couple of hours sleep but his insomnia get worse he begins to see things that other people can't.
This is the fifth book I read by Stephen King. This is a pretty big book. Pacing in this book was not good as his other work. You feel like there so so much going on around and something that totally makes no sense at the end. The speed of the narrative did increase after about two-thirds as we saw building towards the climax. The main theme in insomnia is the concept of aging how you feel and how society perceives you as you get older.
Characters in this book were pretty good actually. Ralph is one my favorite character in Stephen King book I read this month. There are some good passages in this book about Dark Tower. This book is more and more about this Dark Tower world on these different level of existence. The ending I felt was extremely rushed. Read this if you have some time to kill. This is a really heavy book.
