A connecting flight on this airport was one of the most anxious and terrible experiences of my life. I initially boarded Air India Flight on Jan 6th in EWR, USA, but the flight was delayed by 45 minutes or so due to inclement weather(snow), and with another half an hour spent getting of the plane in Delhi, it didn't leave me with much time to catch my next flight(Air India) to Mumbai. It would have been fine if the staff did their job properly, apparently I would have to personally collect my luggage, get it through customs, get it through all the security checks all over again even though I had a connecting flight(both Air India), the Delhi Airport staff refused to get the bags to the final destination.


Even this would have been fine if all the staff had given me a proper answer on time, because some told me that I didn't need to do anything while others told me If I don't collect the luggage myself, I will lose everything. So in order to save my stuff, I went through all the process(very slow lines, most of the staffs just walk away for no reason even if there is a huge line at their station). Getting through all of this had left me with only few minutes to board my plane, so in a hurry I forgot my handbag at the security check-point and RAN all the way to board the plane(mind you I ran with my backpack zipper open, without putting on shoes, many kilometers - no exaggeration), and got on the plane at the last minute. Only after getting on the plane did I realize that I had forgotten my Handbag at the airport. So I reached out to Lost & Found Department countless times, few calls every day, for every week, sent them all the details they asked for, etc. but no answer or response, agents always delaying the process, telling to call later or call at this time etc.


I followed all that but nothing, until the very last week of my stay in India that they provided me with a Bag Number(466220) saying they've found it, but guess what, they said they can't mail it or send it to me, I would have to personally come collect it in Delhi Airport! This would have been fine had they told me a week earlier while I was still in India, then I would have been able to solve this issue and get my stuff back. The Staff is lazy & uncaring, so they need to bring a change to this, otherwise people will keep seeing Airports as a worrysome place! And if they really want to bring a change, start by caring for people's valuables, like sending my bag to either one of the adress listed on it.
