Two months back I got a call from agent saying that I will get be getting surcharge
Wave off I use Citibank Indian Oil Credit Card in every Indian Oil Fuel Pump. So I took the card with xxxxx0260.
Post receiving the card, it has been noticed that they updated my date of birth incorrect , if date of birth is incorrect we can’t access Net Banking.
I called customer care and placed a request to correct the same, got it done after calling 3 times and struggling for 10 days.
After having fuel in Indian Oil petrol pump I use to give card to that guy to swipe the card. Last month it has been noticed that surcharge has been charged. After calling Citibank customer care, I came to know that in Indian Oil Petrol Pump also, they have to swipe in Citibank machine only, then only we will be getting surcharge wave off. I conveyed that I will not be able to monitor this because almost petrol pumps are not disabled friendly, but they didn't understand my problem. Even when I instructed those guys to swipe in Citibank swipe machine they were not doing that because some guys will be cunning. Sometimes also if Citibank swipe machine doesn't work also they will swipe in some other swipe machine. Finally I paid that Rs.25 for having fuel of Rs.1000 last month.
I placed a request to close this credit card as I was not satisfied with their service though there were some points to utilize.
So guys please prefer this card if you are OK for two below conditions
1) You should have fuel in the Indian Oil Outlet petrol pumps list that you can get it either from Citibank customer care or Citibank website
2) After having fuel, should go along with that person to monitor if he is swiping in Citibank swipe machine or not to get surcharge wave off.
