ICICI Prudential - Cheater as Always

I was contacted by Mr Kumar from ICICI Prudential for explaining Life Insurance Policy and he asked for an appointment which was dated on 22nd Jan 2014. I was explained the policy by Mr Lokesh and after discussion I asked for few days to decide about the plan. Then Mr Lokesh talked with Mr Kumar about the days extension and then he said to fill the form and provide the photocopy so that they do not have to come up again. On confirmation by me they will give me user id and password for payment through online payment gateway.


I was then contacted by their verification team and I said I am busy with my personal stuff and I am not able to decide on this I will be responding after two weeks. In night I see I received a message from my credit card bank that ICICI has deducted 51545/- from my account.


Shocked, I called Mr Kumar and Mr Lokesh and no one picked the phone. On the very next day I contacted Mr Kumar and asked about the power and authority to deduct amount when I said no to them.


They said sorry and said they will revert my amount within three days. Then Mr Sanjay came into picture and said I have terminated Mr Kumar for his mistake and now I will talk to you for cancellation or modification of the policy. I asked him to cancel this with immediate effect and for that Sanjay said he cannot cancel as the policy has been generated(18376119) and it can be done after I receive hard copy for which I mentioned about my plans to go out of town for 15 days.


Mr Sanjay said no problem on your return you may just let me know and the refund amount will be shown in your account within three days.


Now after I came back Mr Sanjay asked me to write a mail stating that I have a financial problem and hence I want to cancel the policy. Since my money was at stake I wrote the same on 19th February.


After that I am regularly contacting him and either no one picks the phone or cuts my phone. One in hundred time I am able to contact Mr Sanjay for which he says he will get back to me after half an hour and then again I have to wait and no one calls me back.


My credit card has taken interest for 2 months on the amount and yet I have not received the amount. When I asked him about the same he has to say that it has been processed and NEFT team is not in his hand. When I ask for the interest part he says one the amount gets credited in your account he will do the needful.


When I contacted ICICI through their customer care number they did not pick or simply cut the phone after 10-15 minutes.


So I would request fellow investors not to even think for ICICI for any plans. They are big cheaters and will harass your personal and professional life. This is not the first case from ICICI. I had problems with ICICI demat account, Saving account, Home Loan and now with Prudential. I can summarize as corporate culture for ICICI. They never reply to emails, Phones. It seems that I have done some mistake even talking to ICICI this time. I have no other way out but to seek legal support in this case.
