ICICI Tries to illegally change bank ac details !

I have had my ICICI ac for more than 10 years with a minimum ac balance of 10000/- as like all banks they try to sell you all types of services that benefit the bank more than the customer which I have resisted till date as I dont use the ac much .


Recently without filling any form or getting my signature or document proofs they illegally upgraded my ac with a minimum ac balance of 50000/- the phone banking person gave me some fake confirmation that I will get a lot of benefits and anytime I wanted to go back to the normal 10000/- balance I just had to call and the change would be done . I forgot all about this as I ACTUALLY DIDNT GET ANY EXTRA BENEFITS and imagine my surprise when suddenly I got a notification that I would have to pay a penalty if my ac balance dropped -


I called the phone banking requesting them to change my account to a normal ac with 10000/- balance AND HERES WHERE IT GETS INTERESTING - THEY SAID NO CHANGES CAN BE ENTERTAINED ON PHONE I WOULD HAVE TO GO PHYSICALLY TO A BANK - EVENTUALLY I DID GO TO THE BANK AS I HAD NO CHOICE AND THEY INFORMED THIS INVOLVES A HUGE CHANGE APPARENTLY WHERE TO DETER YOU THEY DEMAND PHOTO PROOF AND FILLING A DETAILED FORM ETC


YET CONVENIENTLY THIS WAS NOT REQUIRED WHEN THEY CONVENIENTLY CHANGED THE AC ILLEGALLY TO SUIT THEIR PURPOSE - HOW COME NO FORM IS REQUIRED TO FILLED OR SIGNATURE TAKEN OR PHOTO ID PROOF SUBMITTED TO UPGRADE OR CHANGE AN ACCOUNT?YOU DO NOT EVEN BOTHER TO PROPERLY TAKE THE CUSTOMER THROUGH THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS - IN LEGAL TERMS THIS IS MIS-SELLING AND PURPOSELY MISLEADING CUSTOMERS! SHAME ON YOU!


AND YET TO DETER CUSTOMERS FROM CHANGING BACK YOU NEED ALL TYPES OF FORMS TO BE FILLED

I GOT THE BANK ACKNOWLEDGEMENT AND YET THEY HAVE STILL NOT DONE THE CHANGES - I MEAN ITS MY ACCOUNT, MY MONEY AND THE BANK IS ACTING LIKE ITS DOING ME A BIG FAVOUR BY MAKING ME RUN FROM PILLAR TO POST FOR SUCH A SMALL CHANGE! PATHETIC .


BELIEVE ME THEIR BRANCH AT JB NAGAR, ANDHERI EAST, MUMBAI IS QUITE THE WORST - THE STAFF IS NOT HELPFUL AND INSTEAD OF HELPING YOU- WILL TRY TO CREATE BARRIERS TO MAKE THE WHOLE EXPERIENCE VERY VERY UNPLEASANT - ITS ALMOST LIKE THEY WANT TO ENSURE YOU AVOID THE BANK AT ALL COST!


I HAVE EVEN EMAILED MY COMPLAINT TO THE HEAD OF BANKING SERVICES BUT CONVENIENTLY THEY HAVE CHOSEN TO REMAIN QUIET .


IF THINGS GET WORSE - THE LAST RESORT IS TO CLOSE THE ACCOUNT
