I used to use Dell before I switched to IBM and twice my hard drive crashed on a brand new computer. Maybe it was me. I don't know but since I switched to IBM, I've never looked back since.
This laptop comes with what IBM calls ThinkVantage Technologies. These are great for computing and traveling. Ok, so I used to drop my computer all the time but with the Active Protection System, which arms notebooks with hard-disk crash protection in case of a fall, I stopped worrying.
The Rescue and Recovery with Rapid Restore, which can restore lost data, applications and settings in the event of a software failure, even if the main operating system isn't working was also a plus.
