We had booked a std room in this hotel over phone, without knowing what all it has to offer. One thing we really liked was just 1 min. walk from the central bus stand. We're already tired when we reached there, and this quick landing into the hotel was a big relief. The chek in was smooth. The room was spacious, though the marble floor was very cold. Bathroom was little cramped, and slippery. Water quality in the bathroom was also not very impressive.
Moving around the hotel was easy, since it was main market place in Kodaikanal.
One thing that irritated us a lot was external noise disturbing us every now and then. Hotel had placed their housekeeping extension phone in the corridoor, so, every call ringing on this phone used to disturb us badly. We could hear the padestarian movements in the corridoor, and also the water flowing sound from the top in the neighbring room. I complained this to the hotel management, however, no improvement. on the last night in the hotel, I had to literally blast the front desk, since I couldn't get sound sleep for 1.5 hours due to the phone ringing.
Did not have food in the restaurent of the hotel, so, pls. ignore that rating.
