Amid the greenery and peace of Surajkund, this is the most enjoyable fair of all. It is held for 15 days every year in February at Surajkund(faridabad). Many people come from various places to sell and buy handicrafts at this mela. You can buy beautiful pieces of art, home decor items, furniture and utensils, etc.
Apart from shopping, you will enjoy walking in the little muddy hills and looking at artfacts. There is a lot of food to soothe your apetite, rides(jhoola) for kids and other stuff to do.
As all the materials are handicraft(made by hand), they might be bit expensive, but its value for money. We buy so many things every year.
You will get a village type feeling, it is a nice getaway from mundane noisy delhi life(for a day). Go there and enjoy with your family, buy some nice stuff, enjoy rides.
My only advice is go by your own vehicle. If you are going by metro, deboard at badarpur and take auto.
Also, it is a crowded place, take care of your small kids, don't leave them alone.
