Madhav Jha(Arjun Kapoor) waiting to be called for the National Basketball Team, and somehow manages to secure admission in Delhi University's St Stephens College. He falls in love at first sight, with next to no attention from Riya. Riya Sonami(Shraddha Kapoor) is a rich but lonely girl. Riya Sonami's agreed to become Madhav's Half Girlfriend(Friend se thoda jyada, Girlfriend se thoda kam).
Now this situation break the poor boy Jhadav. Madhav's roommate Shailesh is not very happy with this Riya Sonami.
