Government College of Teacher Education Dharamshala is located in Kangra District of Himachal Pradesh. It is only Government College in Himachal For B.Ed. Program. And it is in District headquarter Dharamshala near by HPCA Cricket Stadium and Govt College Dharamshala.
Currently I am student of this esteemed college. In earlier the Govt College of Teacher Education function in Solon District But long time ago it shifted to Kangra Headquarter Dharamshala.
In earlier there were only hundred seats for students but now currently the total strength of institution is about 500 after 2015 impliment of two years BEd. Programme. In earlier there were just only nine month course. In that way last two academy years were at same place which seniors and junior will intract in same roof. All this make relationship more important for both the batch to transfer the experience and understand the need of others.
HOW TO JOIN
This institute only joined through pre entrance test and offers 250 seats in which 50 for medical students, 100 for non-medical student and left for art and commerce students. Selction through merit rank and counselling sessions. And candidate eligibility if passed the graduation examination.
BUILDING
The building is covers all the resources in which Principle Office, clerical office, staff room, separate toilet lecture rooms and science labs and joint class room. The big and knowledgeable library, ICT lab and Multi Purpose Hall for organization of educational activity and many more programs.
There is Highly qualified techers which all time encourage and promote student to achieve their goal. Most of their experience and teaching style works as to increase the knowledge of trainee.
Overall it is Good institute in Himachal Pradesh for teacher education. As I am its student I feel to proud to be part of institutions and learn lots of things that's is not as an institutional way but as an individual way it is platform to be built a not successful but also good human being.
And invited to others to be part of great institute and to fulfil their dreams.
