Google sketchup is a 3D software. I have been using this software for more than 4 yrs and is really useful for me. I am an architect by profession so this software is very useful for me for visualising my 2D plan.
This software is easy to use and has more options to work. We can easily extrude, trim and make a solid component and objects. Several options can be made in a single file. Different scenes can be created and can be rendered. The application of materials is also easy and different new patterns and materials can be created.
This software is useful for people who want to visualise 3d of a model and useful for architects and structure person to understand the mass and volume of the buildings. this is easily understandable for the client o understand and visualise the model so that they can understand easily.
This software has many tutorials to guide and create a good 3d model. A very useful software to work with. People who want to visualise the form and function of the building can use this software.
For building interiors also its very useful to visualise. This software is best for both interior and exteriors . for architects and inerior designers
