I had booked a flight with VietJet Airlines for 25th May via Goibibo. A few weeks before the travel date, the airline rescheduled the flight to a later time. Initially, I accepted the change, but about a week before the flight, I decided to cancel it. Since the flight was rescheduled by the airline, I was eligible for a full refund.
However, the refund has still not been processed. On the Goibibo app, the status continues to show: The refund process has been delayed. Once the airline approves your claim, we will process your refund. It has now been over two months, and the status remains the same.
Interestingly, I had also booked the same flight on the same day through another platformTrip.comand they refunded the full amount within 34 days of cancellation.
I have contacted Goibibo, but their response was that the refund will be auto-credited once the airline processes it, and there is no need for any follow-up from my side.
My question is: Why cant Goibibo follow up more strongly with the airline? If Trip.com was able to issue the refund quickly for the exact same flight, why is Goibibo taking so long?
