I am a gmail account user, I guess from 2006. Recently, I forgot my password but I had actually activated 2 factor authentication of gmail which I thought is very safe and secured but due to this I am in a problem.
I have registered my mobile and Yahoo ID as recovery account in my gmail account. In my case I had configured my gmail account on my vivo mobile and could still access gmail on this. Issue is I cannot access gmail on any other device or laptop because I forgot the password. When tried to recover the same I was not having my yahoo password too, I recovered the same as I configured gmail account as a recovery account on yahoo. Because I am accessible to my gmail on the only my mobile device I could reset the yahoo account . But when tried the same with gmail could not be successful.
Gmail says someone else trying to access my account. I could not be identified as a owner of the account.
I tried to get code on my registrated mobile device and cleared 1st step but when trying to get code on yahoo id I am not getting the same from gmail because I attempted with many wrong passwords to access my gmail account.
Security is must but what is the use of such security when it creates problem for the account owners. Earlier I was a fan of google, but after this incident I am very much disappointed.
