Through mobile number portability you can get the network operator you want and for this you won't need to buy a new number, you can do it with your existing mobile number.
The only criteria you need to fulfill for porting your is that your mobile number should be older than 90 days. This is the only requirement to be eligible for the mobile number portability. If your number is less than 90 days old then wait till it complets its 90th day.
When your mobile is older than 90 days go to any mobile shop who is a retailer of mobile sim. There you ask him to port your mobile number to whichever operator you want.
After this he will tell you to send a message to get the OTP for mobile number portability.
You will need to send a message PORT to 1900, then you will get a message with the OTP. give this OTP to the retailer and he will give you a new sim of the operator of your choice. The sim will be dead at that time. Your number will be ported to that sim in 7 days. Till that time your current sim will be working. After 7 days put the new sim and enjoy.
