Hi
I visited this place once last year when I was bored in Sunday afternoon. This place is nearby thamukkam ground and children park.
We have to walk in ground like 300-400 meters from outside to the building, which doesn't have any asbestos or cement sheets. It gets extremely hot during summer. Please bring water bottle or glucose while brining child or pregnant ladies.
I was half exhausted while entering the building, inside it was old building and looked like constructed in 1950's. All you can do is walk and see the pictures and grace of Gandhiji, which is not bad. But I was so thirsty and there were no food outlet or not even a can of water to drink. Even ceiling fans were classic old generation type. Which is slowly spinning and not giving any air circulation.
In very few places there were portable table fans, which saved our lives from dehydration. I had to wait and come outside near park to get a drink.
I've no plans to go back again in summer.
