and many other well established names in Indian journalism. Some of the names here many not be employees of frontlne, they are contributors, my purpose to give the names is to bring to the
attention of the readers of my review, the BLANK, BLANK, BLANK, BLANK.
We in India do not know any face attached with the above names, a magazine as old as frontl*ne
and a publishing house as good as HINDU, we don’t know their leading men faces, they never print
the pictures of their writers or reporters.
The people we read, we must know their faces, the photos must be printed along the column, this
is the age of computers and information, some writers can put their email address with their
names, so the subscribers who purchase this magazine can have a live face to connect the write
up with a person.
We are in the world where amateur journalism has scored big success, people are becoming famous and becoming journalists over night, these new kids just out of school are making their names recognizable all over the world, we in India are still persisting with medieval publishing
policies, suppose I do not like a write up or I have additional information which can help
the writer, I am connected, I have so many wires attached to my PChow do I contact the writer
of a very prestigious magazine called frontl*ne.
When I am able to submit my viewpoint, with no cost to anyone, this precedent will create a
healthy exchange and who knows the writer is getting proximity with the public and this will
benefit him infuse new ideas in his columns, right ideas are hard to find today.
Many write-ups I read, I feel a isolationist sense in the words expressed in them, the facts are
good but words are devoid of feelings, they are bland and dead, the written words do not evoke
any sense of participation with the ideas expressed in it, the intention of the write up for
public participation is lost. This is happening with all major magazines and regular writers.
Leaders of mass media do not open up and show the world the way to liberate their writers and
expose them to freshness, excitement, harmony, sympathy and proper use of technology, who will
do it, if the educated fail what else remains? I have seen this magazine since 10 years there
is no change at in the look of frontlne **but our world has changed a lot since 10 years.
How can anyone justify the name frontlne, this name must give you a sense of frontlne, I am not qualified to give these comments, but qualified people do not take the imitative, that makes
me restless, democracy needs healthy exchanges and useful innovations every hour. Let the
people of frontlne show us rest of India how to do it? I judge frontlne to be highly
professional magazine with highly accurate figures but there are no feelings in it. I want to
read 135 pages of feelings. Every write-up must let the public see thru the eyes of frontl*ne.
Education demands expression, applications demand utilization, a magazine with TLD(top level
name) to its credit must show Indian readers what is true India, but wishful India. A media
magazine has cream of best educated folks working with it, it must lead, make us Indians feel
pleased, show us that India is on the FRONT LINE. We the readers are on frontl*ne.
I know the magazine is doing good business, why disturb the steady income, that is precisely
the reason to change frontl*ne, it is well established magazine with top money and education
backing it, this is enough qualification to initiate change, pre condition for change is to
seek BETTERMENT. You have the tools, show us your efforts.
At a junction we all face decision making times. No one is free of this obligation.
MULTINATIONALS cannot dent a reputable and established magazine like frontl*ne, the potential to grow even with stiff competition on the doorsteps is a enjoyable challenge! are you its
equal? Do you have the fonts and the fronts to capture the global India and the world?
*Yo! good fonts are a necessity not a choice!
