I joined Free Samples.com thinking I would be getting lots of samples of new products to try.
What could be better? Sign up for free, give a little info and start my free sample shopping spree. All you have to do to start your sample shopping, is answer a survey about the product(s) agree or disagree to receive mailings from the manufacturer and that's about it!
(When you register for the site you give your initial, personal info, so they can mail your samples to you.)
Uh huh...Right.....Wrong!
I've tried 6 times already to order free samples of items from their choice of categories:
automotive
beauty
candy & gum
entertainment
food & beverages
kids
health
household
personal care
pets
So far, each and every time I went into a category, the same notice appeared, ''Sorry, there are no items in this category at this time. Please try back at a later date.''
I've tried each and every category to no avail.
I even clicked the box that says, ''To receive E-mails when products are available, click here.''
Once, about 4 months ago, I was able to hit on 1 product. The Tide Kick & trade pretreater. I'm still waiting!
To order the Tide product sample, I was diverted to a short survey which asked about laundry products. I took the survey, it thanked me, and I never heard from them again!
I checked back just this morning to see what products have been added to their database. And lo and behold, I was greeted with, ''Sorry, there are no items in this category at this time. Please try back at a later time.''
Well, I guess you get what you pay for. You pay nothing, you get nothing!
