Lost my grandfather & father at this hospital. Review on Fortis Malar Hospital - Adyar - Chennai

I have had several experiences with this hospital when it was Malar. After some very bad experiences to name some aspects pathetic ICU with neglect and inhuman handling of patients, keeping attenders in dark and very unhygenic rooms. We got stuck because that was the nearest place where our specialist doctor could be consulted. I not making any loose comments here but from the day to day experience that I had as an attender after I had to rush my grandfather and fater, both of whom we lost.

This note is based on my observing the negligent behaviour of the paramedic, unhygenic rooms(sure patient has to live with a ton of cockroaches and sometimes foul smell from nearabouts. They tried to keep both my father and grandfather on ventilator a couple of days after they were dead. Charges are fancy for the horrible service and of course as most hospitals do, they made sure to collect all the money before we could take the body of my father, who was declared dead at 1 AM and the process of billing at that time took almost 2 hours with a lot of running about.

I thought after Fortis takeover, it was better but my partner also lost his father at the same hospital ICU. The place is jinxed for sure, I have heard so many of my friends admit their dear ones in critical state and generally very few come out of the ICU alive.
