I visited this mall several times when I was in Chennai. Everytime I visit I had the guilt that I couldn't afford anything there. Not even a hot drinks like tea or coffee.
The vendors inside would charge like anything and exaggerate the cost of common things.
I can understand it couldn't be helped for the inflation, but my advise is if you make the costs reasonable then you'll more more visitors and more profits.
