EBay is a great place to sell and buy. If you are a honest seller and your buyer is honest as well, then the sale will be completed without any problems. You will also experience some scammers - buyers/sellers, you just need to know how to deal with them. The seller fees are not so high. And I am making 15000$ per month on eBay:)
EBay is 100x better place for sellers than Amazon! On eBay you have a seller protection. If the tracking is showing delivered, you won't lose. There is no way how could the buyers steal money from you without returning the item. Other sellers are not able to bully you and report your listings, you can sell whatever you want. The manufacturers are not able to remove your listings, just because they do not want you to sell or do not like your price. Your competitors are not able to purchase from you to leave you bad feedback, you can block up to 5000 users on eBay to prevent them from buying from you.
Trust me, eBay is the best place for sellers. Amazon has higher traffic, but eBay rules.
I am a successful seller on Amazon and I am making about 20000$ per month there. But you need to know that my experience on this site is awful.
