First of all, Let me appologize to all my friends in the great realm of Mouthshut.com for reappearing a little late

But now I come back and I vow to all that I should now be regular, adding at least something in some section. So here am I today again with a few words about one of my favorite bands. And I am sure that after reading the title, you're going to feel -- ''Oh, my god. Here he is back with another fantasy review.'' But believe me or not, my dear friends, Roxette is by far one of the greatest sounds heard in this century and the last.

Roxette made their worldwide breakthrough with the album ''Look Sharp'' in 1989. The unique sound from the Swedish sensation soon rocked the world and was spread all over the world of music.

The key to the success was the brilliant number pop tune, ''The Look,'' which was Roxette's first #1 Hit in the US. In fact, the song become #1 in 25 other countries as well. Two years later, in 1991, they had their fourth US #1 Hit with another evergreen creation, ''Joyride.'' They've been on the top of the charts somewhere in the world ever since, with sparkling pop tunes like ''Sleeping In My Car,'' ''Stars,'' ''Real Sugar,'' ''Crash! Boom! Bang!,'' ''Fading Like A Flower,'' ''Listen To Your Heart,'' and many more.

After 15 years in the limelight, the constant flow of hit singles and albums have made staggering record sales of that is comprised of 42 million albums and 15 million singles all over the world. And so on the story continues, as an excellent proof of Per Gessles' outstanding songwriting can be found on the new compilation of the band, ''Roxette - The Pop Hits,'' and its brand new song, ''Opportunity Nox.''
