Different Seasons by Stephen King. This is a short story collection, this was published in1982 there is a story for spring, summer, fall, and winter.
The first story in this collection is Rita Heyworth and The Shawshank Redemption. Unfortunately, I'd seen the movie before I'd read the story and so I kind of knew what to expect I didn't notice that the film had made some changes to what was written. So I'm glad that I read it to see the original story but in the film, they made some changes to make it better.
The second story is about a young boy named Todd who discovers that one of the men living in his neighborhood Mr.Denker is actually former Nazi. Todd decided to blackmail him. I was most invested in both characters, finding myself sympathizing.
The third story is about a group of young boys who kind of board on summer vacation and they learn that there's a dead body near where they live and they decided to go on a hike to see the dead body. I found this story really slow. There's a lot of backstories and I didn't really want to read that because I wanted to see them get to the body.
The fourth story is winter tale called The Breathing Method. It's a story within a story. A man who gets invited to this club, in this club they tell stories and this man steps up and tells a story about this pregnant woman. This story involves a little bit of supernatural stuff.
I think overall as a collection is a really good read. This is definitely something I would like to read again. I would highly recommend this to every Stephen King fan.
