I recently got an admission here and this is what I think about the college so far.
Acadamics: The acadamics is average. The teachers will come and teach you like you already know it. Yes, some of them are amazing but most will just come and go. If you do not know the local language ( kannada) then you may have some problem in class. Over all you will have to study whatever is taught in class by yourself and the teachers will help you out.
Infrastructure: It had beautiful buildings and they are very well maintained. We have a whole building for student activities including badminton, squash, foozball, table tennis, carrom and a gymnasium. The classes are spacious and well maintained too. We also have a basketball court. Other sport facilities are not that good. The gates are well guarded at all times and decipline is strict.
Boarding: The hostel facility is great too. There are 3 buys in each room and all rooms have attached bath. The rooms are cleaned regularly. The food is above average here. Also there is no ragging as such as the seniors have a whole different hostel. The mess is clean and well looked after.
Student Engagement: There is a lot of discussion and the students are encouraged to do what they love the most. The authorization is supportive and so is the faculty. They try their best to help students find others with common interests.
Value for money: We are charged around 2 lacks as tution fee ( non Karnataka students) and 1 lack for the hostel. I feel that the hostel is a bit over priced but otherwise its okay. The authorization is responsive to our needs and we are well taken care of.
Over all this is an above average college with all basic requirements covered up. Its a bit far from main city Bangalore but there are frequent bus services. I would recommend this college for anyone who is thinking of coming here.
