I feel compelled to share my experience with Data Is Good Company, an organization that promises a data science program with a job guarantee. As someone deeply passionate about AI and data science, I eagerly joined their program with high hopes and expectations. Initially, they painted a picture of a dream-like journey: lucrative job opportunities, experienced instructors, doubt sessions, and ongoing mentor support.
At the outset, they seemed committed to fulfilling these promises, but sadly, that was short-lived. Instead of hiring experienced professionals to guide us, they resorted to employing students, just like me, to teach the data science curriculum. This decision compromised the quality of education and left many of us feeling deceived.
According to their advertised program, the course duration was supposed to be one year, followed by a three-month internship, and ultimately culminating in job placements. However, we find ourselves in a distressing situation as they have failed to complete the course even after an extended period of time.
Moreover, when we approached them with our concerns and grievances, they were unable to provide satisfactory answers or explanations. It is disheartening to see a company that once showed promise and potential exhibit such lack of professionalism and disregard for their students.
Adding to the list of disappointments, last month they introduced an internship opportunity with a company called Unmessanger. To our disbelief, we discovered that Unmessanger is a fictitious entity created solely for the purpose of providing an illusion of progress. They assigned some of us as managers and seniors, pretending to help us gain practical experience. This unethical behavior is both alarming and unacceptable.
To exacerbate matters, Data Tech Company has now become unresponsive to our emails and phone calls. It appears that they are avoiding accountability and evading their responsibility towards us, their paying students.
I feel compelled to raise awareness about this situation and share my story. I invested a substantial amount of money, 1 lakh, into this course, and I believe it is only fair to demand a refund. It is essential to bring attention to such malpractices in the industry and protect future aspiring data scientists from falling into similar traps.
I urge those who have faced similar experiences with Data Is Good Company to come forward and join me in seeking justice. Together, we can shed light on this issue and ensure that companies are held accountable for their actions. Let us unite and demand the refund and transparency we rightfully deserve.
