It seems to ensure they dont lose the segment of people who buying larger volumes etc but hate the crowds at Dmart shopping malls - Dmart started a website that is supposed to compete with Bigbasket and the likes.
But thats where it ends - no doubt they have good discounts but a lot of issues are faced - hopefully with the number of complaints they have received they will improve else face losing customers in some time :
Every Order is chargeable ! Min 50/- or 2 % of the order value whichever is higher .
Even if willing to pay you cannot place an order for less than 1000/- despite the fact they charge min 50/- delivery charge.
No delivery slots - have only 1 slot a day ! and you would be forced to select slot 1 week in advance.They really need to work on their Logistics !
If you have a pending order - unlike Big basket and other similar sites - you CANNOT add further items to the order even if you are willing to pay in cash . You have to place a fresh order (but again it has to be minimum 1000/- and delivery slot will be another 7 days ahead)
Customer support is ABSOLUTELY USELESS - CANNOT HELP WITH ANY ISSUES UNLESS IT IS TO SEARCH FOR AN ITEM ON THE SITE . They delivered me a defective item (butter was delivered in a damaged condition , it was out of the packet and filled with dirt ! - i asked for a replacement - they said only money can be refunded for defective items but one has to place a new order with delivery charges if you want the item !!
If you raise a complaint - you get a complaint number but as such neither you get a call back, confirmation of the complaint receipt or that its actually taken up internally seriously.
basically this site is only if you are not able to get the similar item on other sites, better rates available for some items , willing to put up with their pathetic customer support and the item is not critically required - else for better peace of mind shop on the other sites
