I've been receiving SMS and Calls since months for recovery about a SBI credit card and they offered me a settlement offer stating I can pay less against total due of 1.44 lac.
The best part of the story is that I never had a credit card with SBI.
They claim the card default is as per Equifax credit report. I downloaded Dec and Jan credit report in respective months and didn't see any card default on my credit report.
The credit score on Credit Mantri website is 667 but on my Equifax report is 729.
On the website, they have an option to dispute the issue for which they want me to pay more then Rs 900 to them so they can work on the issue of incorrect report.
Credit Mantri is a fraud company. They show incorrect credit scores, fake loan/card defaults and then expect someone to pay settlement amount or at least Rs 900 to correct the intentionally made incorrect report.
When approached them and explained complete issue strictly asking them to correct their record and stop trying to make a fraud with me. I simply received a reply stating they have removed me from calling and SMS list. That is not the solution I expect from a financial institution.
They are playing illegal and fraud in broad sunlight. Stay away from them.
