Imagine your life without colour a total grey scale vision some thing which most of the animals are gifted with. Hey dont go deep thats just an imagination but yes its impossible to live without colours especially that'Mera wala Green'
This constant urge for perfection has forced the Hardware industry to provide more and more advanced real colour monitors in the market.
Initially there was a monochrome monitor in which only a single colour was being displayed if the letters are black the background white and vice versa.
Then came a Mono VGA a similar version in which pictures started expressing themselves in tones of gray but still it lacked clarity and exact detail
The arrival of Analog Color monitors was a boon for the first time people could see real color may be not accurate but.
The Digital Color Monitors were to follow with some more enhancements
Then came the craze of Flat Monitors and lately after KBC slim LCD's are getting demand.
Speaking about sizes the initial 12 inches monochrome has been replaced by a 14 inch colour and now a days you even get 21 inches easily in the market
So if you are buying a new monitor what essentially should you look for
A minimum of 15 inch flat monitor pref Samsung
Energy Star Compliant
AGP Display card support enabled on your Main board
If you plan to buy a black and white Mono VGA coz you do data entry only you can get a second hand one at a very reasonable price.
But if you want a working Hercules Monochrome for some system you may have to go to Alibaba.Its only him who may have one and that too in his cave.
