Later, when the colege expanded and grew in popularity, it's campus was shifted to the lush plateau of Farmagudi, located close to the temple city of Ponda. The college is approved by All India Council for Technical Education(AICTE) and is funded by Govt. of Goa.

*Infrastructure:** Spread over a 100 acre plus campus, today the College of engineering has one main building block which houses administrative offices, Pricipal's office, faculty offices, academic offices and class rooms. Located alongside the long main building, is the library building.

The** library** has a good collection of engineering text books which are constantly updated. A good journal section exists wherein students can access the latest journals in the fields of engineering. The lending section of the library lends a max. of 2 books to students for a max. period of 2 weeks. There is a book reference section wherin a copy of all the books in stock are kept on display for initial reference. Students can also borrow a book from this section for over-night reference. The library has a reading hall, a newspaper lounge and several small classrooms. These class rooms are used for conducting Post Graduate evening classes for Civil and Mechanical engineering students. The library also has an air-conditioned mini auditorium  of capacity for seating approximately 60 persons with overhead projector facility. This auditorium is used for most of the technical events organised by the college.  Apart from this, the library has a multimedia section which lends software and other technical data in multi-media form to students.

A very useful service provided by the library is the book-bank service. This service is offered to all students whose family income is below 2 lakh rupes per annum. In this servive, a set of books relevant with the course of the student is lent to the student for the duration of one year. Applications have to be renewed every year. Other students can also avail this service if books are available.

There are totally 8 auditorium classrooms on the campus, four drawing halls equiped with drawing tables, and a number of lecture halls.

The laboratory buildings of each department is separate and are located behind the main building in sequencial order: Science & Humanities, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Science and Electronics. Apart from this, the Civil department has a separate Post Graduate laboratory. The Mechanical Laboratory building has two extensions: one is a industrial workshop and the other is an automobile workshop. the industrial workshop has a lathe workshop with over 20 lathes, a fitting/plumbing section, a carpentry section, a foundry section and a forging section. The Automobile workshop has a dynamics laboratory, an automobile workshop and a Boiler room. The Electrical Laboratory building also has an extension which houses more laboratories.

Apart from this, the college operates buses between the Ponda city bus terminus and the college to carry students arriving fom different parts of Goa. The college also has a guest house given to guests when on visit to the college. There are four hostels for boys and two hostels for girls. They have in-house messes. Also a few staff quarters are built for employees and the principal. However, the condition of all these amenities is not well-maintained by the authorities and reqires a lot of repair work. The hostels, (especially boy's hostels) are dank, dirty and poorly electrified. Internet facility has been provided throughout the campus.

*Ranking:** The college was recently rated among the top 100 colleges in the country because of its good faculty and high placement record. The college has also got accredited by the National Board of Accredition for its Civil, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering programmes. The college was affiliated to the Bombay University when it first began. However, after the establishment of Goa University, the College changed affiliation the GU.
