I had been using cleartrip for my flight and train bookings for long time.So much was my trust that I never checked the actual flight or train rates in other sites.Recently I checked irctc site for train booking.I usually book for 5 or 6 people.I saw a difference of more than 1000 rs from what was actually quoted in the cleartrip.
The clear trip site is good with searching but they do cheat you on the prices and it may go unnoticed.and moreover the booking and cancelation charges are highest in this site.I recently booked a flight which was shown refundable.I gave them booking charges already.I could have booked the flight directly from the paramount airways and saved the money.But since clear trip was giving the search service, I thought I shiuld pay fo it.
Unfortunately I had to cancel it.After many days also I didn't get the refund.Hence I posted a complaint in the cleartrip forum.They replied back after 2-3 days telling they havn't got any reply from the flight company.After 1 week they when I checked, I saw the money was refund but 1500 rs was cleartrip cancellation charges.It was not mentioned whn I booked the tickets.The only cancellation charges was that of the flight company which they displayed at that time.Now tell me guys what is there to refund after 1500 cancellation charges from clear trip and 50% cancellation charges of the flight company.I asked about it in their complaints forum.Since it was open to public inorder to hide their mistake they have blocked the forum for me now and deleted my posts
