We had booked Honda Mobilio in the month of July By email and ourselves had sent the cheque for the booking amount to their office. We had specific instructions regarding registeration, etc which was also mentioned on email.
We had asked for the money receipt for which their reply was it will be sent to us on email. End of August we sent them another email with the status of our booking along with a request to send the money receipt but received no response.
1St week of September we visited their showroom and and had to take the money receipt ourselves. Their excuse was that their sales consultant had left and thus it got missed. They had also no idea regarding our requirements for registration sent on email. In fact, with the conversation we understood that they had not sesn the email.
They did manage to convince it was a geneuine problem due to the sales consultant leaving suddenly and thus we agreed and explained all the requirements again and also handed over the copy of the emails sent to them. They assured that a reply would be sent in a day or two. It was also mentioned that the car will arrive in mid october earliest.
Today the 23rd september, we are yet to receive any reply. Rather we get a phone call from another person from the dealership that the car may be dispatched by end of this month and arrive not before pujas, if we could make payment. The person calling was oblivious of our requirements and wanted payment now(as ours will be self financed).
How can a delaership ask for payment when they dont even have the car, rather they dont even know the VIN number, etc but would like to have full payment. Payment is not a big issue, it is not knowing the customers requirement and only caring about their targets.
