I visited Mumbai-Goa recently with my friends and stayed at this guest house for a couple of days. I am sorry to say that staying at this guest house was not a good experience at all. At one point of time it felt like as if I am serving a punishment!
First of all, the quality of the room was below par. There was some unpleasant smell at the room right from the beginning. On top of it, the room appeared quite shabby and dirty at the same time. However, unfortunately, as per the schedule of the trip, there was very little time in hand to shift to another guest house or hotel.
The television set in my room was not working. And I soon found out that the guest house has a water scarcity problem as well. Therefore, you cannot expect running tap water in the bathroom for 24 hours. This came as a shock as the person in charge of the guest house should have informed about this right at the start. After all, it's his responsibility to inform the guests about this problem.
I didn't order any food from this guest house. I used to take my lunch and dinner from a restaurant named Sai Samrat placed right beneath this guest house(just beside Anna Leela hotel and restaurant). As far as the safety factor, there was no security person or care taker as such in this guest house. The only good thing about Central Guest House was its location or accessibility. The fact that it was placed right in front of the main road turned out to be quite convenient for me. However, constant vehicle traffic made the area quite congested at the same time.
