I bought the 900T in 1997. This was the only convection+microwave available at that time, and microwaves were not the norm at homes. So, like a 47" plasma TV of today, I bought this one with a lot of fanfare for 26K. Since then, till 2004, it ran flawlessly.
In 2004, I had to get the front panel changed. Again it ran well, till a couple of months back, the transformer was gone. They asked for Rs. 2800. That was too much, so I went out and bought a Chinese micro for 4500. There ended the journey of the BPL microwave, for a solid 10 years.
I have been quite happy with its quick heating, the multi-stage cooking, as well as combination cookery. But its so hige, its really made for restaurants. I do not advise anyone to buy it today.
Cooker magazines used to come initially, but stopped in a couple of years. But I don't care. It takes a little practice, that's all. Also, the use is more for heating than cooking inIndian households.
BPL service was also prompt, although we are in Ghaziabad. Overall, it has been a good buy.
