The version of this language I know is Turbo C 3.0
this is language has many features & functions
The most important thing I like about this language is accessibility to hardware
You can control the hardware through BIOS.
this language was developed by Dennis Ritchie, i wont write much about history of C.
basically C is developed to developed softwares which will interact with the hard ware.
But C also suppports graphics which is very good.but now VB & .NET platform is good for windows based programming.
But C is Still the best for interacting with the hardware devices. Many of drivers are also written in c language .
