Not too helpful, not fair... Review on Bayt

It is a good portal which provides you quite a lot of information mainly about vacancies in the middle east Gulf countries and acts as a connect between the candidates and employers. But the fact is that it is only helpful for those who are - 1) Already working in Gulf countries and wish to change their jobs, 2) have worked earlier in Gulf countries and now living in India looking forward to some new opportunity in Gulf. It is a waste for all others. This portal fails to convey the facts or deliberately hides the above facts. Additionally, most Gulf employers these days prefer a Gulf national or at least any Arab national for most of the jobs. A large number of Gulf employers prefer only Muslim candidates.

Also this portal of late is vigorously trying to make money out of this portal by ranking candidates' applications on its own merit list basis of match with the job requirements(not disclosed the criteria exactly) and immediately flashes the rank of a candidate in comparison with other candidates and asks to "Upgrade" membership for promoting the application for which there is a hefty fees collected under different levels of "promotion" of application. This is not a fair practice and amounts to cheating the employer as well as the candidates.
