Airtel is one of most unethical companies I have had the misfortune of dealing with. I have been using airtel for more about 2 yrs now. initially when I bought the connection it was for limited plan of 3 gb per month which was enough for a month, but the cost per month used to be high if I crossed that limit, though the speed was ok.
So I switched to unlimited plan with 8GB high speed and then 256kpbs after that. within few months of doing this, I started getting mails within 3 days of start of billing cycle that I have exhausted my data usage, and speed will be decreased. I checked on airtel website on usage, and found that airtel has been adding fake records of usage and then cutting down speed after 3 days.
I have proof to show that they have illegally add usage bytes without me even using it.
My billing cycle starts on 20th of every month, but within 3 days I get a mail that I have consumed 8GB of data. How can usage go up suddenly ? when I checked the website for usage this is what I got:

This has been happening in spite of me sending several mails with screenshots, and calling them many time. the customer service guy only has one answer "it is computer controlled, we dont do anything". However they have no answer for the screenshots I have sent. after being cheated for many months I decided to finally cancel the connection. they are cheating customers by adding random usage value at specific times during the day.
I have decided never to use any airtel products and not recommend it to anyone I know. I hope the concerned telecom authorities note this fraud company and bring them to justice.
