The story in brief: Three friends from Delhi go missing in a small village - Jhanjhar, in Bihar. It's three months and there is no clue about their disappearance. The media and students movement demand action from the authorities. It's then that the government orders a CBI enquiry with officers Sidhant Chaturvedi (Akshaye Khanna) and Pratap Kumar (Ajay Devgn) to solve the case.

They find it difficult to solve the case as the local police and other authorities are a part of Shool Sena, which is responsible for illicit activities. Sidhant and Pratap also face Ajatshatru Singh (Paresh Rawal), a ruthless police officer who misuses his power. Not only that even the locals don't support the investigation. It's with the help of Roshni, (Amita Pathak) who's the daughter of a rich and powerful villager, and Getta (Bipasha Basu), who's Aiatshatru's wife and Pratap's former love, that the investigation moves ahead. A bewildering turn of events ensues.

The Strength: Ajay Devgan and Paresh Rawal. While Devgan has no compitetor when it comes to serious acting and no nonsense business, Paresh Rawal on other hand fits the role of a " Protector becomes Tormentor" daroga. Akshay Khanna is OK. He should avoid walking like a Body Builder,

Bipasha Basu is a misfit.

The Weakness: Great Beginning to the storyline but bad ending. Classic example of a great film reduced to mediocrity. The action scene : Ajay Devgan is a CBI officer or a Superman? He chases the goon ( nasbandi character) by flying, diving and climbing buildings like in Chinese movie.

Another scene where Devgan goes past beneath a running train. It was so funny, The third stupid action scene where again Mr. Devgan, stands on top of the scorpio ( or whatever that 4 wheeler was ) and making his way through the trees and jungles.......

The director on one hand takes a realistic brutal domination in villages of Bihar, on the other hand the action director makes Devgan a Superman.

Best Scene: When Devgan tells a story of a small village boy to Akshay Khanna while ironing his cloths.

Worst scene: There are many actually., . But take the ones mentioned above and the useless songs.

My advise: Definitely a one time watch..... but thats it....
